This week I decided to broaden my topic from focusing on just Fu Hao to women warriors in Chinese history. One woman I came across and found very interesting was Lin Siniang. From my very brief research I learned that she was exceptional at wielding a sword and martial arts. After the death of her family she became a prostitute and later married King Zhu Changshu. The king was so impressed by her skills that he asked her to teach all of his concubines. All of the women picked up the skills so well that they then formed an all women army.
My goal for this week is to research more in depth about Lin Siniang and the women army. I also would like to start making presentations for each woman I will be discussing in my project.
